The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has announced plans to transform the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital) into a Teaching Hospital as part of a broader effort to enhance Ghana's healthcare system.
Speaking on Joy TV, Minister Akandoh revealed the government's commitment to establishing at least one regional hospital in all sixteen regions while also prioritizing the refurbishment of existing healthcare facilities.
He emphasized the need for a balanced approach to healthcare development, stating, "We are also looking at upgrading some of the already existing health facilities.
