The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced a major reshuffling of its Regional Health Directors.

The reassignments, which take effect from April 14, 2025, are aimed at strengthening the healthcare system and advancing the service's strategic objectives.

Several senior health officials have been appointed to new roles across different regions and at the GHS headquarters.

Notable among the changes are: Dr Samuel Kwabena Boakye-Boateng: Previously the Regional Director of Health Services (RDHS) for the Upper East Region, he will now serve as the Director of Policy, Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division (PPMED) at GHS headquarters.
