Flagbearer of the (NDC), , has committed to setting up a Commission of Enquiry to investigate the alleged looting of state lands and to address the longstanding issue of expropriated Ga-Dangbe lands. This promise was outlined in the NDC manifesto, which was launched on Saturday, August 24, 2024, in Winneba, Central Region. Mahama's pledge comes in response to growing concerns and accusations that the Akufo-Addo administration and its appointees have misappropriated state lands, with some parcels allegedly being sold to cronies. These claims have been strongly denied by the government and the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources. However, Mahama insists that if elected in the December 7 polls, his administration will thoroughly investigate these allegations to determine whether any state lands have been unlawfully acquired or sold.
