Addressing the state during the Independence Day celebration at the Jubilee House, he encouraged citizens to actively contribute to the process, as the Constitution is the foundation of Ghana's democracy and must evolve to benefit every citizen.
Acknowledging the review efforts of past administrations within the fourth republic, President Mahama noted that the review process aims to address gaps, ambiguities, and challenges that have arisen over the years, and ensure that the Constitution remains relevant in today's changing world.
He urged all Ghanaians to submit their recommendations and memoranda to the committee. "The 1992 Constitution has provided a stable framework for governance and delivered the most extended period of constitutional democracy in our nation's history.
