Running mate to the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has said that the proposed women's development bank is here to empower female entrepreneurs. She says it is also to support small business owners by providing them with low-interest loans, financial education, and sustainable support. For his part, the flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama has promised in the NDC manifesto that they will ban issuance of new mining leases and activities in forest reserves. He also says they will amend the Mineral and Mining Law to impose stiffer punishment on mining in water bodies. He said these while launching NDC 2024 manifesto on Saturday August 24 at Winneba.
