The Minority Leader in , , has criticised the government for failing to meet the 30 percent female representation in political appointments as required by the Affirmative Action Act 2024.
Speaking in on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, he questioned measures, that the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr.
Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has taken to ensure its effective implementation.
According to him, despite claims of compliance, the government had fallen short of its obligation to ensure gender equity in his Cabinet. "What measures has the ministry put in place to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the Affirmative Action Act 2024.
