Accra Hearts of Oak's Public Relations Officer, Opare Addo, has criticized the Club Licensing Board's decision to reject the University of Ghana Stadium as a Ghana Premier League (GPL) venue, arguing that many approved pitches do not match its standards.
The UG Stadium, which has served as a temporary home for Hearts of Oak, Legon Cities, and Accra Lions, was deemed unfit due to the lack of a designated safe zone.
However, Addo believes the decision lacks consistency and fairness.
Speaking on Happy FM, he questioned the rationale behind the rejection: "If the Legon pitch isn't good enough, how many pitches in Ghana have the features the UG Stadium offers?
