Black Queens coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren has backed his attacking players ahead of their final group game against Tanzania in the ongoing 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).  Ghana, who remain at the bottom of Group C with just a point, will hope to secure the first win of the tournament against Tanzania today at the Stade Municipal de Berkane.

The Queens, who have registered over 30 shots in their opening two games, have scored once in the continental event.

The game is a must-win for Ghana to secure a place in the next round, while they hope South Africa will beat Mali. "We have players who can take up the nine position," Bjorkegren said at the pre-match conference. "We can also potentially change the system if we want to.

We have one player [to the left here (Chantelle) and also we have other players like Adubea. "Adubea is one person who can play there, for example, and we have many more, like Alex Kusi, for example. "There are good options even if we are always going to miss the necessary ones," he added.
