Black Stars' new Technical advisor, Winfried Schäfer, has emphasized the importance of building a cohesive team rather than relying on individual talent.
The German tactician, who led Cameroon to AFCON glory in 2002, will work closely with head coach Otto Addo to strengthen the Black Stars ahead of their World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
Speaking on his approach, Schäfer stressed the value of teamwork: "It's not the best players who win matches, but the best teams that play together.
No one should come in thinking, 'I'm from Real Madrid' or 'I play for Arsenal.' Everyone must take pride in wearing the Ghana jersey." Schäfer brings over 40 years of managerial experience, having coached national teams like Cameroon, Thailand, and Jamaica, as well as European clubs such as Borussia Mönchengladbach, Karlsruher SC, VfB Stuttgart, and Borussia Berlin.
