A death trap of a bridge that links Kotokuom and several other farming communities in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region has been closed down for repair works.
The bridge is currently inaccessible to many vehicles and risks collapsing at any given moment.
Years of neglect has led to portions of the concrete to fall apart.
The irons rods have rusted whilst the bolts and nuts on most of the supporting metal have been removed; making using the bridge dangerous. "Even walking on this bridge is scary because you don't know when it will collapse.
