A galamsey operator who allegedly raped an elderly woman has been remanded into police custody by the Tarkwa District Magistrate Court due to ongoing police investigations.
The accused, Vitus Nsore, 24, is scheduled to reappear before the court on March 21, 2025.
His plea has not yet been taken.
Police Sergeant Douglas Addae, leading the prosecution, told the court presided over by Charles Owusu Nsiah that the complainant, a 56-year-old farmer, resided in Amoanda with her family and Nsore.
