Former Finance Minister Dr Mohammed Amin Adam has accused President John Dramani Mahama of engaging in propaganda during his 2025 State of the Nation Address (SONA) delivered on Thursday, February 27.

Dr Amin Adam, who is also the Member of Parliament for Karaga, challenged President Mahama's assertion that the country's economy is in a dire state, insisting that Ghana's economic growth has significantly rebounded.

Speaking at the Minority's version of the True State of the Nation Address during a press conference in Accra on Monday, March 3, he argued that the President deliberately omitted key economic gains made under the previous administration. "The past government left gross international reserves of $8.9 billion, which is being used to shore up the cedi.

The President ignored mentioning this in his address," Dr Amin Adam stated.
