Former Finance Minister Dr Mohammed Amin Adam has said that the banking sector cleanup exercise that was undertaken by the Akufo-Addo was well intended to solve the challenges in the final sector.
He noted that the banking sector became stronger after the exercise.
Dr Amin Adam was responding to criticisms against the previous government by the Mahama administration over the clean-up exercise in the financial sector.
Mr Mahama had promised to restore the licences of the banks that in his view, were unjustly revoked. "The banking sector cleanup was well-intended.
