The oft-cite quote, "Elections have consequences," coined by former U.S.
president Barack Obama, is apropos in the National Patriotic Party's (NPP) performance in the 2024 general election.
Not only has the defeat dealt a profound blow to the Party's internal politics and continues to roil the rank-and-file, but it's also hard to overstate the transformation in our national politics.
The historic defeat stings the most because it is the worst in the Party's political history.
