Constituents of Okaikwei Central in the Greater Accra Region have pledged to retain the incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Patrick Yaw Boamah. They have expressed satisfaction with the performance of Yaw Boamah and have vowed to maintain him to represent the constituency in Parliament come December 7 general elections. Okaikwei Central in the Greater Accra Region had remained a stronghold for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP). In the 2020 general elections, NPP presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo pulled 25,109 representing 53.57 percent whilst the National Democratic Congress presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama pulled 21,463 representing 45.79 percent. The incumbent Member of Parliament, Patrick Yaw Boamah, polled 27, 935 representing 59.62 percent as compared to the NDC 2020 parliamentary candidate, Abdul Rashid Issah, who had 18,922 representing 40.38 percent.
