The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has pledged its full support for President John Dramani Mahama's call for transparency and accountability in the financial management of the Black Stars and other national teams.

The GFA made this commitment in response to President Mahama's State of the Nation Address on February 27, 2025, where he emphasized that there must be no secrecy in how government funds are spent on sports.

Acknowledging the concerns raised by the President, the GFA reassured Ghanaians that it remains committed to financial transparency.

The association clarified that: The first draft budget for national teams is always submitted to the Ministry of Sports before final approval.
