The Minority in Parliament has opted out of a three-day orientation programme for Members of the 9th Parliament currently ongoing at the Volta Serene Hotel in Ho in the Volta region.

They cited the cost involved in organizing the program as their reason.

Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin while speaking at the opening session of orientation programme, revealed that the Minority side notified him of their decision Friday, February 28 in the night.

He describes the decision as unacceptable, and unfortunate given the importance of the training program. "Our brothers and sisters of the New Patriotic Party have opted out giving a reason that is completely unacceptable," Speaker Bagbin said.
