The leadership of teacher unions and other education stakeholders in the Ashanti Region have called on the government to ensure the effective implementation of recommendations from the nationwide education forum to drive meaningful transformation in the sector.
Stakeholders have stressed that the recommendations gathered must not be left to gather dust.
The eight-member committee is currently conducting a nationwide engagement to solicit ideas from stakeholders on addressing challenges and improving the education sector.
During one such engagement in the Ashanti Region, stakeholders were divided into groups to discuss five key thematic areas: financing, infrastructure, regulation, government accountability, research and data, and quality.
