After nearly a decade behind bars with a slow pace in trial, Gregory Afoko has finally walked free after executing a bail bond on Friday, February 28, 2025.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) member, who was held at Nsawam Medium Prison, has reunited with his family after meeting his bail conditions set by an Accra High Court.

Exclusive photos available to MyNewsGh.com show an emotional homecoming as Afoko was welcomed by family members who had long awaited his return.

Afoko was accused of conspiring with Asabke Alangdi in the 2015 acid attack that led to the tragic death of former NPP Upper East Regional Chairman, Adams Mahama.
