Gregory Afoko has called for unity and kindness among Ghanaians, urging people to show love and refrain from wickedness towards one another.

His statement came moments after he regained his freedom on Friday, February 28, 2025. "We should have love for one another and shouldn't be wicked to one another," Afoko said upon his release.

His freedom follows his successful fulfilment of all bail conditions set by the High Court.

Afoko had been in custody since 2015 after being accused of conspiring with Asabke Alangdi in an acid attack that resulted in the death of former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Upper East Regional Chairman, Adams Mahama.
