A 21-year-old final-year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Daniel Tuffuor, has been remanded into police custody in connection with the alleged murder of his fellow final-year student, Joana Deladem Yabani.
Tuffuor was arrested on Thursday, 27 February 2025, after Joana's lifeless body was discovered on campus earlier that morning.
University security officials alerted the police, leading to his detention.
Authorities suspect that the deceased and the accused were in a romantic relationship at the time of her tragic death.
