Gregory Afoko has finally breathed the air of freedom after spending a decade behind bars at the Nsawam Medium Prison.

His release comes after he successfully met all bail conditions set by the High Court.

Afoko, who was accused of conspiring with Asabke Alangdi in the 2015 acid attack that led to the death of former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Upper East Regional Chairman, Adams Mahama, had his bail granted in the sum of GH¢500,000 with two sureties, one of whom had to be justified.

His release follows years of unsuccessful bail applications.
