Lawyers for Gifty Oware Mensah, the former Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Authority (NSA), have refuted claims that she has absconded from Ghana following ongoing investigations into alleged financial irregularities within the National Service Scheme (NSS).
In a statement issued on Friday, 28 February 2025, and copied to Mynewsgh.com, her legal representatives, Sarkodie Baffour Awuah and Partners, clarified that their client remains a resident of Ghana and has no intention of relocating abroad. "Our client wishes to put on record that she has not absconded from the Republic of Ghana contrary to the said reports.
Indeed, she has no intention of relocating from Ghana.
She was born and bred in Ghana and has no intention of taking up domicile in a foreign country," the statement read.
