The legal representatives of Gifty Oware Mensah, the former Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Authority (NSA), have affirmed her readiness to cooperate with any state security or investigative body regarding the ongoing probe into alleged financial irregularities within the National Service Scheme (NSS).
In a statement issued on Friday, 28 February 2025, and copied to Mynewsgh.com, her lawyers, Sarkodie Baffour Awuah and Partners, refuted claims that Oware Mensah was evading investigation, emphasising that she has not received any official summons from the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) or any other investigative agency. "Our client is ready, able, and willing to fully cooperate with any state security/investigative agency, including your organisation, should her cooperation be required," the statement read.
The clarification follows allegations circulating on social media that Oware Mensah had absconded from Ghana to avoid being questioned after the arrest of former NSA Deputy Executive Director, Kwaku Ohene Djan.
However, her legal team insists she remains in the country and has no intention of relocating abroad.
