The Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, has announced a revision of the curfew hours in Walewale and its surrounding areas, following consultations with the North East Regional Security Council.
Effective Thursday, February 27, 2025, the new curfew hours are from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am.
Previously, the curfew was set from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
This adjustment to 8:00 pm to 5:00 am comes in response to the current security situation in the area.
