The Government of Ghana has marked the 28th February Crossroad shooting as part of the events organized for the Independence Day celebrations.
Today marks the 77th anniversary of the historical incident with a ceremony currently underway to celebrate.
The 28th February Christiansborg Crossroads Shooting Incident is celebrated every year to honor the defenseless Ex-servicemen who in 1948 were killed by the colonial police while marching peacefully to the Osu Castle to present a petition to the then Governor Sir Gerald Creasy.
