The Member of for Suame, John Darko, has jumped to the defence of the Minority Leader, over the backlash on his (Afenyo-Markin's) actions during ministerial vetting on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
The Minority Leader, who is the MP for Effutu, is being heavily criticised by a section of the public over his actions and utterances at the Appointment Committee sitting.
Afenyo-Markin, who is the ranking member of the committee, is particularly being lambasted for asking the Attorney General and Minister of Justice-designate, Dr.
Justice Srem-Sai, to demonstrate the 'akpai' dance of the people of the Volta Region during his vetting.
