Security has been tightened at Ghana's Parliament ahead of President John Dramani Mahama's first State of the Nation Address, with personnel from various security agencies deployed to ensure a smooth and incident-free event.

Ahead of the President's arrival, heavily armed security officers have taken strategic positions in and around the parliamentary premises.

Access to the chamber is being strictly regulated, with thorough screening of lawmakers, government officials, and invited guests.

Security dogs have also been deployed inside the chamber to assist in detecting any potential threats.
