Renowned anti-corruption campaigner Martin Amidu has directly called President John Mahama, insisting that he launch an investigation into what he describes as "payroll fraud and a massive economic crime scene" at the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

Amidu's latest demand follows the public reaction to his February 25 article, which shed light on alleged irregularities at the OSP and the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP).

According to Amidu, employees within the OSP have expressed deep concern over the revelations, particularly regarding the vetting process-or lack thereof-before their appointments.

He asserts that the Special Prosecutor, William Kissi Agyebeng, subjected employees to unlawful polygraph tests rather than the legally mandated vetting process by the Ghana Police Administration and the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB). "The OSP employees who contacted me are ready, able, and willing to speak at an impartial investigation, as they were never vetted by the Ghana Police Administration and the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
