During the vetting of John Dumelo, the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon and Deputy Minister of Agriculture, some of the questions posed to him sparked widespread debate, with many Ghanaians deeming them irrelevant to his ministerial role.
On February 25, 2025, John Dumelo appeared before the Appointments Committee for his vetting.
Notably, he carried a rosary with him, openly declaring that he is a devout Catholic and a firm believer in his faith.
His decision to bring a rosary, however, led to an unexpected line of questioning from Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin.
