The Deputy Minister of Interior-designate, Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, has stated that only President has the authority to determine the future of the Inspector General of Police, Dr.

George Akuffo Dampare.

Appearing before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Tuesday, February 25, 2024, Terlabi emphasised that such decisions rest solely with the president.

He advised the public to leave the decision regarding the IGP's fate to President Mahama, stating that he wished he had the authority to make such a decision himself. "Mr.
