The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has called on all Embassies and High Commissions in Ghana to ensure humane and appropriate conditions for visa applicants.
This directive comes in response to numerous public complaints regarding the treatment of Ghanaian citizens during visa application processes at foreign missions.
In a statement dated Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the Ministry highlighted specific issues raised by applicants, including the lack of conducive waiting areas, unavailability of emergency services, prolonged waiting times for appointment dates, and difficulties navigating visa application websites.
To address these concerns, the Ministry has issued a Note Verbale to all Embassies and High Commissions, urging them to implement measures that provide a more respectful and efficient experience for applicants.
