The Minister of State Designate for Public Sector Reforms, Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba has proposed a national dialogue that will compel successive governments to continue and ensure the completion of policies and projects by their preceeding government.

Speaking during her vetting before Parliament's Appointments Committee on Monday, February 24, she underscored the trend of discontinuation of projects on the side of successive governments.

The minister of state designate emphasised the need for a national conversation to ensure continuity in governmental plans, such as the National Action Plan (NAP 5) Stressing that successive administrations should build upon existing initiatives, rather than starting anew, she advocated for a unified national plan that would enable incoming officials to seamlessly continue the work of their predecessors. "As a country, we should have a dialogue so that whatever plan we have, for example, the NAP 5, National Action Plan.

If successive government will continue from where one starts, I believe it will help us.
