The Minister of Health, , has commissioned the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) 10th Anniversary Model Health Centre at Abutia Kpota in the Ho West Municipality.
The facility, which was fully funded by KOFIH, is expected to enhance healthcare delivery and improve access to essential health services in the region.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony on February 24, 2025, the minister emphasised the government's commitment to achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) through strategic investments and collaborations.
He commended the longstanding partnership between Ghana and South Korea, highlighting KOFIH's contributions to various health initiatives, including maternal and child health, biomedical engineering, and emergency medical services. "The Republic of South Korea has remained a strong ally to Ghana, providing funding, technical assistance, and grant support to strengthen our health system. "This model health centre stands as a testament to our shared commitment to ensuring quality healthcare for all," Akandoh stated.
