A post-election report investigating the NPP's crushing defeat in the 2024 elections has pointed fingers at President Akufo-Addo's leadership style, describing it as unyielding and indifferent to public concerns.
According to the findings sighted by MyNewsGh, 87% of respondents viewed the President as resistant to advice, with some lamenting that while he was approachable in his first term, his second term was marked by stubbornness, vindictiveness, and intransigence-factors that severely harmed the party's electoral chances.
One of the key grievances was his refusal to reshuffle ministers, particularly Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, his cousin.
When 87 MPs, mostly from the Ashanti Region, called for Ofori-Atta's removal, the President remained defiant.
