Former Chief Justice and member of Ghana's 9th Council of State, Sophia Akuffo has responded to accusations of her being partisan following her appointment as member of the 9th Council of State.
The former Chief Justice who served under the erstwhile Akufo-Addo administration faced backlashes after her appointment as a council of state member by President Mahama Speaking in an interview on TV3, February 23, Sophia Akuffo who was once a Judge at the Supreme Court under the NDC explained that she is not surprised by the criticisms as Ghanaians have become overly partisan, a situation she lamented about.
She emphasized that she is not partisan as suggested, affirming her appointment to the Council of State by President Mahama. "Well people will always criticize anything and everything.
When we wake up and the sun is shining, there will be criticisms when the sun is not shining, there will be criticisms.
