The Electoral Commission (EC) has disclosed that 22 individuals have picked up nomination forms to contest as independent presidential candidates in the 2024 elections. The Director of Training at the Electoral Commission, Dr. Serebuor Quaicoe, made this revelation during an interview on Ghana Tonight on TV3, on August 22. The announcement follows the EC's earlier statement on August 1, 2024, which detailed the procedures for submitting nomination forms for both presidential and parliamentary elections. According to the EC, interested candidates were required to download the forms from its official website from August 2, 2024.
