The Member of for Old Tafo, Ekow Vincent Assafuah, has stated that President John Mahama will be responsible for any negative consequences such as suffering, loss of livelihood, or harm experienced by workers whose appointments have been revoked.

On February 11, 2025, President , through the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, revoked all appointments and recruitments made into the Public Service after December 7, 2024.

A letter containing the directive was sent to all heads of government institutions.

According to the Chief of Staff, the appointments did not comply with established good governance practices and principles.
