Cephas Okine, a driver's mate popularly known as Shatta, has been sentenced to four years in prison by an Accra Circuit Court for stealing a ram valued at GHC5,000.

Okine pleaded guilty to charges of unlawful entry and stealing before the court, presided over by Mr Samuel Bright Acquah, and was convicted on his own plea.

Prosecuting Inspector Shiela Tetteh informed the court that Okine had previously been convicted for a similar offence.

On November 19, 2024, a Teshie court ordered him to sign a two-year bond to be of good behaviour, which he breached after only three months.
