Social media has descended on actor Big Akwes after he claimed that any man who fails to purchase a gift for their girlfriend on Valentine's Day is a failure.
Big Akwes, while speaking on Max TV during a panel discussion, said that a man should be able to afford a beautiful gift to his boo on the beautiful red day of love.
He said if a man doesn't have money to make such a purchase, they should sell their phone or something valuable and buy a gift for their partner.
Big Akwes added that if a man cannot do such a simple gesture on a special day like Valentine's Day then he deserves to be alone.
