'2PM,' a notorious Kumasi-based armed robber, has narrated the ordeal he suffered at the hands of Commissioner of Police (Retired) Kofi Boakye following his arrest several years ago.

In a viral video clip sighted by on TikTok, the reformed criminal recounted how he was confronted by police officers led by Kofi Boakye, who was then the Ashanti Regional Commander of the Ghana Police Service.

He recalled that upon arriving at the police station, the retired Commissioner of Police, now the Director of Operations at the Office of the President, subjected him to severe beatings. "When I got to the police station, he (Kofi Boakye) called me three times… He took a cane from his wardrobe and gave me a few lashes.

I thought that was it, but all of a sudden, I received a mighty slap on my right cheek. "The slap made me partially blind in my right eye.
