Professor Kingsley Nyarko, Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwadaso, has called on President John Dramani Mahama, to reverse his decision to revoke the appointments of individuals recruited into public service by the previous government.

According to him, the decision by the president, through the chief of staff, Julius Debrah, was not only troubling, but very unfortunate, saying that "President Mahama, throughout the electioneering campaign promised to create jobs for the citizenry, especially the youth, but not dismissals".

Nyarko, speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview in Kumasi, pointed out that, all the innovative interventions introduced by the Nana Addo-Bawumia administration helped in creating jobs to deal with the unemployment situation that had gotten out of hand between January 2009 and January 2017. "Within that period, the government did less to provide jobs for the citizenry, particularly the youth.
