A former (NPP) Member of Parliament for Ayensuano, , has narrated how an elderly woman he offered GH¢50 to go and vote in the 2024 election rejected his offer.

Ayeh-Paye, in a viral video clip from a recent interview on Peace FM, said that he was shocked to the core when the woman rejected the offer.

He said that the incident was the 1st time someone had rejected an offer from him to go and vote.

He indicated that the rejection of monetary incentives and the demands for money before voting were signs of how the people of Ghana were unhappy with the NPP government led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. "I was giving people money to go and vote… Nana, to my surprise, for the first time in my history, a voter rejected the GH¢50 I was giving her to go and vote.
