An investigation by The Fourth Estate has uncovered glaring irregularities in the National Service Authority (NSA) payroll, with individuals aged 80 and above falsely registered as national service personnel.
Among the most striking cases is 93-year-old Nimatu Salifu, listed as a University for Development Studies (UDS) graduate and posted to Kpiyagi D/A Primary School in the Upper West Region during the 2022/2023 service year.
Similarly, 91-year-old Ruth Abdulai, allegedly a Development Studies graduate from UDS, was deployed to Adakura Primary School in the Upper East Region, while 82-year-old Mahamadu Ali was assigned to Anyinabrim Anglican School in Sefwi Wiawso, Western North Region.
The investigation also revealed that 72-year-old Kwame Donkor was registered without an ID card.
