Investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni has weighed in on the controversy surrounding former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, following revelations that he is "traumatised" after a National Security raid at his private residence.
Azure made the statement in a social media post on February 17, 2025, seemingly criticising the reaction to Ofori-Atta's predicament amid ongoing corruption investigations.
The former minister has been declared wanted by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) on charges of causing financial loss to the state in dealings related to the construction of the National Cathedral and the Ghana Revenue Authority's (GRA) contract with Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited (SML).
On Thursday, February 13, 2025, Minority Leader Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin told Parliament that Ofori-Atta was "traumatised" by the allegations and the raid on his residence.
