Chief Executive Officer of the Shippers Authority, Prof Ransford Gyampo has insisted that he will continue nudging the government which he is a part, to commit to their pact of suspend galamsey.

Prior to the election of 2024, all political parties signed a pact with UTAG to end Galamsey three months into their government.

After the National Democratic Congress (NDC) won the election, UTAG met with the new government to remind it of the pact they signed before the election.

In a post shared via social media, Prof Gyampo captured the river Ankobrah which is in a healing process, to remind the government to stay committed to the pact they signed months ago.
