The Twifo Atti-Morkwa District Police Command in the Central Region has arrested two teenage girls over a gold theft that occurred on 29th January 2025 at Twifo Praso.

The two suspects were arrested on Sunday, 16thFebruary, 2025 at Anomabo following police intelligence.

According to Superintendent Charles Addei Boateng who made the disclosure, the suspects were seen in a CCTV footage entering into a gold dealership shop at Twifo Praso and believed to have bolted with an amount of GHC41,000 and an unspecified quantity of gold.

Police investigations following an official complaint by the shop's owner, Gifty Owusu, established that the two teenagers were hiding in Anomabo also in the Central Region, where they were arrested.
