The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, has donated essential medical supplies worth over GH¢300,000 to the Upper West Regional Health Directorate to support the fight against meningitis in the region.
The donation, which includes critical items such as Ceftrioxone injections, reception injections, Ringers Lactate Injections, Spinal needles, Normal Saline, and Dexamethasone, aims to enhance the region's capacity to manage and treat meningitis cases.
The Speaker on Sunday, February 16, 2025, gifted the directorate with 8,400 quantities of Ceftrioxone injection, 1,600 quantities of reception injection, and 2,100 quantities of Ringers Lactate Injection.
Others are; 12 packs of spinal needles, 2,100 quantities of Normal Saline, and 300 quantities of Dexamethasone.
