The Centre for Democratic Movement (CDM), a civil society group, has criticised the government's handling of the energy crisis.
The organisation stressed that the focus should be on building a resilient and sustainable energy sector rather than engaging in political blame games.
CDM expressed deep concern over the government's reactive approach to the seeming energy crisis, arguing that Ghanaians can no longer endure leadership that is "evasive" in addressing critical energy challenges. "This is not a political debate; it is a national emergency that demands decisive and lasting solutions," the organisation stated in a press release by Victor Gyapong, Elizabeth Asantewaa and Asare Kenned, all Conveners.
It urged policymakers to acknowledge the severity of the crisis and take urgent measures to stabilise the sector.
