A strong security presence marked the re-run of the Council of State election in the Ashanti Region, with several high-profile politicians, including former Education Minister Dr.

Yaw Osei Adutwum and former Bantama MP Henry Kwabena Kokofu, denied entry for lacking accreditation.

Others turned away included Kwadaso MP Kingsley Nyarko and former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong, who attempted to access the main auditorium where voting was in progress.

Police officers enforced strict access control, allowing only accredited individuals-mainly assembly members eligible to vote-into the venue.
